I am honored to have been selected to lead Mine Hill Township’s outstanding school district. I bring 33 years experience in education; ten years as a teacher, guidance counselor, and coach in the Dover Public Schools and 23 years in Wharton as a vice-principal, principal, business administrator, and superintendent. I am thrilled with the partnership that has begun developing between the Mine Hill and Wharton School Districts. I believe that the shared service partnership between the two districts, which includes child study team services, special education/child study team administration, substitute services, and most recently a shared superintendent, will become a model in New Jersey. I have the utmost confidence that this partnership will not only yield higher level services for both school districts, but also do so in an efficient & cost effective manner.

I believe that children learn what they live and what they experience and that our primary job as educators is to serve as role models for kids. Modeling respect, integrity, cooperation, pride, and a strong work ethic is as important, if not more important, than the content we teach and the instructional methodology we employ. My role as superintendent is to provide the resources . . . properly trained personnel, equipment, instructional materials, and a safe and positive environment so that all students can learn to their maximum potential.  

I am thrilled to bring my teaching, counseling, and administrative experience to Mine Hill to lead the Board of Education, administration and staff in raising the Canfield Avenue School to new heights.
