There Are Some Types Of Digital Cameras That You Can Choose

There are several types of digital cameras on the market and you should know that. For example a “compact” camera (pocket) that has a lens that cannot be replaced, but the shape is compact and practical use. Such a camera is suitable for traveling or just taking pictures for daily needs. The pocket digital camera has also been equipped with video features and has HD resolution or even Full HD. This resolution is very sufficient for the need to record important moments or your daily trips. Besides that, if you need a camera for underwater photography, we suggest you check out one at the Gear Hint.

There is also a prosumer camera (superzoom) whose main strength is the zoom lens that can be 20-50x or even more. The shape is like a DSLR camera but usually smaller and lighter in size. The price is also more affordable. The lens also cannot be changed, and the image sensor is generally relatively small.

Next, DSLR and mirrorless cameras are the most sought after in recent years. The lenses on both cameras can be changed. If you have a DSLR or mirrorless camera for the first time, the camera body is usually paired with a kit lens. This lens is usually a zoom lens with a focal range that can cover quite a number of shooting scenarios.

The kit lens on a DSLR camera is equipped with an APS-C sensor, 1.5x or 1.6x crop factor, and usually has a focal range of 18-55 mm or 16-50 mm. While the mirrorless camera is equipped with a Micro Four Thirds sensor, 2x crop factor, and a kit lens that has a focal range of 14-42 mm or 12-32 mm.

Apart from that, you should also consider some basic features of your camera, such as:

“Built-in flash” is found in some cameras but some don’t have it. In addition to helping the lighting, the built-in flash can also be used to help autofocus the camera and send wireless trigger signals to flash located outside the camera.

“Scene modes & effects,” features such as panorama modes, variations of creative filters and effects, auto HDR and various scene modes may also be very important for some people. DSLR or mirrorless cameras usually already have these features.
