A cheetah’s habitat basically depends on the animal. Most cheetahs live in grass plains, sparse sub-desert, or steppe. The surroundings may include tall, grass bushes and should blend in with the cat. Namibia, Iran, and Africa are countries that still contain cheetahs.
My research-animal isn’t afraid to eat meat. Cheetahs eat gazelles, antelope, warthog, game-birds, and spring hare. Also zebras and smaller animals as well exist in a cheetah’s diet! With all this food, their weights rounds up to a total of 39 to 65 kg, 86 to 143 pounds. Male cheetahs are often larger than female ones, however, the difference in size between the two genders aren’t like other big cats. Cheetahs can also survive long periods of time without water for most of their liquid supply comes from their prey.
Cheetahs don’t let weather ruin their life cycle. The weather in my cheetah’s home consists from very hot temperatures to short, light showers. It can be sunny and dry one day to wet and humid the next. After a while, cheetahs adopt to their habitat’s behavior.
The cheetahs are scarcely endangered which is mainly human’s fault. Since the beginning of human life, human beings have been killing these poor, beautiful creatures for fur and food. If some cheetahs survived their attackers, then their home would possibly get destroyed for human habitats. Basically, cheetahs will someday become instinct. However, when that horrid time comes, studies suggest that the cheetah may very well share a common ancestor with the North American puma. |
